British Museum - Britain closed down and so is the Reading Room

The British prehistoric and Roman galleries still not opened - now put back until June. This absence of anything much that is British is a reminder that there has not been a decent gallery about what one might call the 'Age of Stonehenge' for at least 10 years. It really is a scandal.

I went to Room 2 to the little and inadequate library which is all we are getting until the Reading Room is reopened to the public in 2009.

What a Shame!

I quite often revise wikipedia pages if I feel I have a moment. This one I did because the London Archaeologist had an article by Barbora Brederova about an excavation in the Fields, and it gave information not clearly listed on Wikipedia. How London is Divided Up

The LDA - London Development Agency divides London up as follows: I have no idea who made these decisions but clearly some are not so obvious. For example, Southwark is in the Central Region but the City is in the Eastern Region given that all the bridges across the Thames in Southwark join up with the City this seems crazy!
