How many people to defend a Hill fort?

This interesting article on the Hillforts of Dorset contends that the Parish Boundaries date back to the Roman period.  Evidence is very much circumstantial.



But it also has a useful go at working out how many people needed to defend a hillfort, and the population of Roman Dorset.

How London is Divided Up

The LDA - London Development Agency divides London up as follows: I have no idea who made these decisions but clearly some are not so obvious. For example, Southwark is in the Central Region but the City is in the Eastern Region given that all the bridges across the Thames in Southwark join up with the City this seems crazy!
