Labour speaker proposes that Museums be included with Libraries

Public Libraries and Museums Act 1964 (Amendment) Bill 2010-11: ePolitix.com: "Labour's Alison McGovern proposed a bill under the ten minute rule motion aiming to broaden the scope of library authorities to provide cultural facilities alongside library services.

During a debate in the Commons, she said the Public Libraries and Museums Act 1964 should be amended to include museums, galleries and theatres."

How London is Divided Up

The LDA - London Development Agency divides London up as follows: I have no idea who made these decisions but clearly some are not so obvious. For example, Southwark is in the Central Region but the City is in the Eastern Region given that all the bridges across the Thames in Southwark join up with the City this seems crazy!
